
LEAVING FROM SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
To ship your vehicle, just contact us and we will arrange to meet you at a convenient location within the airport area.
We ask for a two(2)-day advance notice for scheduling an appointment. Emergency requests will be handled to the best of our ability.
We will:
Check your paperwork Inspect your vehicle and complete a condition report Collect a full set of keys and your service fee by cash, Cashier's Check or Money Order Take you to your airline terminal
Your vehicle will be delivered to the shipping company the same day or the next business day. If the ports are closed, your vehicle will remain in the airport parking lot until the ports are open. You are responsible for the parking fees for this period.
NOTE... If you are not the registered owner of the vehicle you must have written permission from the registered owner to take the vehicle out of the country. This includes banks, if your vehicle is being financed, lien holders, and rental companies.
There can be NONE of the following in the vehicle:
Personal effects or belongings Oil or flammable items (including cleaners, and polishes) After-market unbolted CB's, Scanners, Radios, etc. Locked containers that do not have a key Please check with your shipper for other restrictions
You can include:
In-dash factory-installed accessories Spare tire and normal tools Seat covers Floor mats Baby seats For shipping, we will need:
If military personnel,
Four(4) copies of your orders and amendments (if any) Copy of vehicle registration Copy of your military ID A full set of keys
If private shipment to Hawaii,
Booking Number from the shipping company A copy of the vehicles registration Proof of insurance Please check with your Transportation Department for possible additional document requirements.
NOTE... For OpLift shipments, you must designate PVL as your point of contact with OpLift Coordinator
ARRIVING IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Print the Limited Power Of Attorney and Service Agreement. Complete all the required information. Please print legibly. Initial where applicable, then sign and date both forms.
YOUR ORIGINAL SIGNATURE AND INITIALS ARE REQUIRED.
If shipping your POV commercially from overseas (other than Hawaii), your signature must be notarized.
Mail your order early. Your mailing should include:
Our form, completed Condition Report Your Cashier's Check or Money Order When we receive your order, we will mail or FAX an acknowledgment within 48 Hours. The letter will confirm your order and provide you instructions on how to collect your vehicle upon arrival.
Up to two(2) days prior to your scheduled arrival, we will process your vehicle for pick-up, inspect and report any damages incurred during shipment, and deliver the vehicle to your point of arrival.
Vehicles are parked at the airport up to two(2) days prior to ensure on-time delivery. Be prepared to pay at least two days airport parking fees, should this apply. Parking fees are subject to change without notification.
Be sure to check with your shipper for demurrage and other applicable fees. Include the amount of expected charges, in addition to our service fee, in your order. PVL does not take responsibility for demurrage, parking, storage, or any other applicable fees.
PVL will have to put fuel into your vehicle upon picking it up from the port. Please check rate table for the additional applicable gas charges. If you would like us to fill your tank, please include the additional amount in your payment.
We suggest you call our office a couple of days before your departure to check on the status of your order.
Please inspect your vehicle before leaving the parking lot.
